Airboat_VR_Prototype

You should play this over Meta Link or through Steam Link. This does not play natively on the Quest 3 headset as an APK. 

My computer (Windows 11) is built and tested using an RTX 4060 . Built for Quest 3 or equivalent. You must use with Meta Link and USB transfer cable. I consistently reach 90FPS  with this setup. Tested with 3060 and that ran fine as well.   

Download:

Play:

3. Run (double click) "Airboat_Mangrove_v104_URP_VR_2022.3.55f1.exe file"

Quit:

4. Alt-F4 to quit

VR Controls: 

VR Controllers (Left and right)

Free locomotion (movement) using the left controller joystick.

Snap turning locomotion using the right controller joystick. 

Side buttons on both controllers for grabbing. 

AirBoat controls: 

Left airboat stick is throttle. Grab the stick by the top green ball and then while grabbing (holding the side button down on the controller) physically move your hand or arm, forwards and backwards, to manipulate the position of the stick. Push forward to accelerate forwards, pull back to accelerate backwards. Let go of the left stick and it will return to a neutral position. 

Right airboat stick controls steering. Grab the stick by the top green ball and then while grabbing (holding the side button down on the controller) physically move your hand or arm, left and right, to manipulate the position of the stick. This steers the airboat. Pushing the airboat stick to the right moves the airboat to the left. Pushing the airboat stick to the left, steers the boat to the right. Please note that letting go of the airboat stick will NOT return it back to neutral position, it will remain fixed where you ungrabbed it. 

Considerations: 

- Currently there is no menu or 'Quit' button to end the game. You have to force close the game to quit out.
